KOLDBORN Rejoined By Drummer RASMUS SALSKOV

January 16, 2008

Danish death metal band KOLDBORN has issued the following update:

"We are very proud to announce that original KOLDBORN drummer Rasmus Salskov is back in the band! Rasmus took some time off after the recording of 'The Uncanny Valley' to focus on family life and his first-born son Birk, but now he's back on track and ready to rumble! Morten Løwe Sørensen (THE ARCANE ORDER, SLUGS) did a great job replacing Rasmus on the drums during his break — a big thank you and a cheers for ripping the drums and helping us out — u da man!

"The power that Rasmus contributes to this band is amazing, and we are working hard to write the new album these days. Expect the new songs to be extremely heavy and groovy! I guess the result of getting old is the need to play slower, haha. Extreme aggression expected nonetheless!"

KOLDBORN's latest album, "The Uncanny Valley", was released in 2006 via France's Listenable Records. The follow-up to 2002's "First Enslavement" was recorded in August 2005 and mixed in January 2006 at Smart 'n' Hard studios with producer Jacob Bredahl and is said to be "the most brutal, fastest, heaviest and most catchy material" the band have penned to date. The CD features guest appearances by Sven de Caluwé (ABORTED),Jason Campbell (AS WE FIGHT) and Jacob Bredahl (HATESPHERE)
